Tsunami drill was held in Madampagama, Galle on 5th November 2005.Tsunami drill was conducted this morning (05) in line with International Tsunami Day, under the Indian Ocean Regional Tsunami Programme (IOWave 25).

This was organized by the Disaster Management Centre, focusing on Kuligoda Madampa Central College in Madampagama, Galle District, and the Wenamulla Grama Niladhari Division.
The school children and rural community, officers of the tri forces ,police officers, officers of the Divisional Secretariat Madampagama, were among those participated in this event.
Disaster Management Unit of Galle District organized this event under the guidance of Disaster Management Center.
